1. Scope of the service
ClosOn is a digital wardrobe and styling service. The current product lets users create and secure accounts, manage wardrobe items and related accessories, import products from links and receipts, receive AI-assisted tagging and styling help, generate and save outfits, use private premium styling tools, access analytics and insights, share selected wardrobe content, coordinate borrowing, and participate in inspiration-style flows.
These Terms apply to the public website, progressive web app, authenticated user areas, premium areas, administrative interfaces where access is granted, and any connected APIs or support flows that are part of the ClosOn service.
2. Contract structure and eligibility
By using ClosOn, you agree to these Terms. If you create an account or purchase a paid plan on behalf of a company or other organization, you confirm that you are authorized to bind that entity. You must be legally capable of entering into a binding agreement under the law applicable to you.
If you are a consumer, mandatory consumer-protection rights remain unaffected. If you are an entrepreneur, business user, or organization, the commercial parts of these Terms apply in addition to any mandatory law that cannot be excluded.
3. Feature-by-feature rules
Accounts and security
You must provide accurate information, keep credentials confidential, and use only accounts you are authorized to access. Email verification, password resets, and two-factor authentication are part of the service security model. We may require reasonable security steps where an account appears compromised or abused.
Wardrobe, perfume, and accessory records
You are responsible for the content and accuracy of the items, images, notes, and metadata you upload. You may edit or delete your own records, but you should not upload content that infringes third-party rights or unlawfully exposes another person's personal data.
AI-assisted imports, styling, and suggestions
AI-generated labels, outfit suggestions, style signatures, and stylist responses are assistive outputs only. They can be incomplete, inaccurate, or subjective. You remain responsible for reviewing generated metadata and deciding whether any recommendation is suitable for you.
Receipt imports
If you use the receipt-import flow, you instruct us to process receipt emails and receipt-derived product details in order to create wardrobe drafts and related records. This processing involves our specialized third-party inbound email infrastructure (Postmark) and AI-assisted extraction as described in the Privacy Policy. You should only route receipts that you are entitled to submit and that match the intended product use of the feature.
Sharing, invites, borrowing, and comments
When you create shared collections, invite other users, request to borrow items, or leave comments, you are responsible for the lawfulness and tone of that content and for sharing only material you are entitled to share. Borrow-related features help coordinate lending; they do not create an insurance, escrow, or dispute-resolution service.
Inspiration, social features, and moderation
If you post inspiration content, comments, or likes, you grant the limited permissions needed to host, display, moderate, and distribute that content within the app. We may remove or restrict content that is unlawful, infringing, abusive, unsafe, or incompatible with the product purpose.
Weather, location, and personalization
Weather-aware features depend on the location data you choose to provide, whether by manual city entry or browser permission. You can stop using device geolocation at any time through your browser or device settings.
Premium plans, AI credits, and entitlements
Premium access, daily look allowances, AI credits, and other usage limits are governed by the plan and entitlements shown in the product. We may also apply support-driven or operational adjustments such as bonus allowances or admin-managed premium overrides where the product permits this.
Admin review and operational intervention
Authorized administrators may review user, billing, receipt-import, moderation, wardrobe, and AI-session records where reasonably necessary to keep the service reliable, safe, and legally compliant. The current admin tooling also supports account suspension, restoration, entitlement adjustments, and limited impersonation for support or incident-response purposes.
4. Your content and rights you grant to us
You retain your rights in the wardrobe images, notes, outfit content, comments, inspiration posts, prompts, and other material that you upload or create. You grant us a non-exclusive, limited, revocable right to host, store, reproduce, process, adapt, transmit, and display that material solely as necessary to operate, secure, improve, moderate, support, and legally maintain the service.
If you upload or share content involving another person, you are responsible for having the rights and permissions needed for that use. This includes personal data, copyright-protected material, and images that you do not own or control.
5. Acceptable use
- Do not upload unlawful, infringing, defamatory, deceptive, or malicious content.
- Do not attempt to bypass quotas, access controls, premium gates, or review mechanisms.
- Do not use the service to stalk, profile, harass, or expose another person.
- Do not scrape, reverse engineer, probe, overload, or disrupt the service except where mandatory law clearly permits specific interoperability rights.
- Do not upload special-category personal data unless you have a lawful basis and the feature genuinely requires it.
6. Premium plans, subscriptions, and consumer-law framing
ClosOn offers free and paid functionality. Paid access may include premium styling tools, expanded or unlimited wardrobe capacity, more or unlimited AI-supported actions, additional daily look entitlements, advanced insights, and related premium product benefits shown in the pricing and billing flows. Billing and subscription management are currently integrated with Stripe and may include checkout, recurring billing, invoice downloads, plan swaps, cancellation, resumption, billing-portal access, and one-time AI credit pack purchases.
Subscriptions renew according to the billing cadence selected at checkout unless cancelled before the next renewal date. Taxes, currency, plan scope, and billing intervals are disclosed during checkout or in the billing interface. We may suspend or limit premium access if payment fails, a charge is reversed, or an account is being used in violation of these Terms.
If you are a consumer, your mandatory statutory rights under Austrian and applicable EEA consumer law remain unaffected. Where Austrian distance-selling rules require pre-contract information, withdrawal information, or acknowledgements for immediate performance of digital services, those legal requirements apply independently of these Terms and any failure to collect them correctly does not reduce your statutory rights.
7. AI credit usage reference
Every AI-powered action in ClosOn triggers exactly 1 API call to an AI model and consumes 1 credit. The table below lists every action that costs a credit, what triggers it, how many credits it deducts, and what the AI actually does with your data. Features marked "+thinking" activate extended model reasoning, which increases latency for more accurate results.

8. Availability, changes, and operational intervention
We may update, improve, pause, replace, or discontinue features where reasonably necessary for security, legal compliance, provider changes, technical performance, or product quality. We may also intervene manually through support, moderation, billing adjustments, or review queues where the service requires operational correction.
We aim for reliable availability, but we do not promise uninterrupted or error-free service. AI-backed, third-party, network, browser, payment, and provider dependencies can affect performance or feature availability.
9. Suspension, restriction, and termination
We may suspend, restrict, or terminate access where reasonably necessary to protect users, enforce these Terms, comply with legal obligations, address non-payment, investigate abuse, or respond to security incidents. We may also remove or restrict content where moderation, rights protection, or safety concerns require it.
Where proportionate and lawful, we will prefer limited interventions over full suspension and may provide notice or an explanation. Immediate intervention may still be necessary in cases involving fraud, security risk, rights infringement, or urgent legal obligations.
10. Intellectual property
ClosOn, its software, branding, design, configuration, service logic, and non-user content remain our property or the property of our licensors. Except where mandatory law expressly permits otherwise, you may not copy, redistribute, modify, create derivative products from, decompile, or commercially exploit the service beyond its intended use.
11. Liability and service character
Nothing in these Terms excludes liability that cannot be excluded under mandatory law, especially for intent, gross negligence, fraudulent misrepresentation, personal injury, and mandatory consumer claims. Subject to mandatory law, liability is limited to foreseeable damage typical for this type of digital service contract.
ClosOn is a wardrobe and styling product, not a professional advisory service. AI outputs, weather-aware suggestions, style opinions, and community or sharing interactions are not guaranteed to be complete, accurate, or suitable for every use case.
12. Privacy and data protection
The processing of personal data connected with ClosOn is described in the Privacy Policy. The Privacy Policy forms part of the legal framework of the service and explains how feature-specific processing, AI operations, billing, sharing, and privacy rights are handled.
Information about cookies and browser storage is set out in the Cookie Policy. Mandatory operator and company disclosure required by Austrian law is provided in the Impressum.
13. Governing law and jurisdiction
These Terms are governed by Austrian law, excluding conflict-of-law rules and the UN Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods. If you are a consumer residing in the EEA, mandatory consumer protections of your country of residence remain applicable to the extent required by law.
For disputes with entrepreneurs, legal entities under public law, or special funds under public law, the competent court at the provider's registered seat in Austria has jurisdiction unless mandatory law provides otherwise. Mandatory consumer jurisdiction rules remain unaffected.
14. Updates to these Terms
We may revise these Terms when the feature set, billing model, legal environment, processors, or operational workflows change. The latest version will be published on this page with a new effective date. Where a change materially affects active users, we should communicate it in an appropriate product or email notice.
